Our Ice Cream

At OddFellows, we want you to fall even more in love with ice cream. We make super premium small-batch ice cream from scratch in our Williamsburg kitchen. Nothing tastes better than homemade! We do not believe in using hormones or artificial additives, and pasteurize our own mix in-house using cream, sugar, and locally sourced milk from Battenkill Valley Creamery, which allows us to infuse more nuanced flavors into our ice cream.

The Story of OddFellows

OddFellows Ice Cream Co. is a Brooklyn-based, family-run business founded by husband-and-wife team Mohan and Holiday Kumar and Chef Sam Mason (co-owner/head chef).

Our story began in the summer of 2011, while Holiday was pregnant with her twins. One night, Mohan was sharing a few drinks with his buddy Sam, telling him about his wife’s latest food cravings: fried chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches … and salty-flavored ice cream. Being the fine fellow that he was, Sam whipped up his signature pretzel ice cream - famous from his wd~50 days - for Holiday. He packed a pint and brought it over to her. It lasted five minutes. His ice cream was unlike anything she had ever tasted. “You guys should sell this stuff,” she said to Mohan. He thought so too and approached Sam with the idea. Let’s say, it didn’t take much convincing. Nearly two years of planning later, in June 2013, OddFellows Ice Cream Co. is open for business in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Giving Back

We are dedicated to doing our part to help those in need at OddFellows. We know we cannot succeed without our local community and feel it essential to give back. With every serving of ice cream we sell, we will donate $0.05 to the Food Bank for New York City. Four scoops of ice cream will give someone in need a hot meal. How amazing is that? foodbanknyc.org
